Endownment required
The Corpus Fund of Rs. 1,00,000/- is required to give one Scholarship with the expenses for selection, Documentation, monitor, evaluation and Administrative costs per annum.
Objective of the program:
To recognize, promote and assist meritorious Girl students who cannot continue their education without financial support. Scholarships recognize past performance and promote future excellence. While this is widely recognized when one considers individual recipients, there is often less awareness of the truth in this statement at a program level. Yet most scholars accept that sprinkling a class, or a school with a few stellar individuals’ results in increased collective performance. These stellar individuals also serve as recruiting beacons for other stellar individuals, with the long-term benefit being a natural expectation of excellence. Thus, availability of the scholarships is a potent means to improve the school education.
The rate of scholarship:
Supports a Child’s Health (Medical Insurance) and Education as a Day scholar for a year is Rs.6,000 at the rate of Rs.500/-per month and as a Hosteler for a year is Rs.2,400 at the rate of Rs.200/-per month.

Objective of the program:
Innovative and responsive teaching can also make an enormous difference to student learning and life outcomes. Funding teacher innovation builds the capacity of schools to cater for all students, especially the most disadvantaged. These Workshops are for High School Students with books and materials.
The cost of the workshop:
The cost is Rs.20,000/-. This includes the Remunerations for the Subject Experts, arrangements for special requirements, hand outs, Books, working lunch & snacks, documentation and evaluation, certification.
The endowment required:
The Corpus Fund of Rs. 3,00,000/- is required to conduct a workshop per annum.
Objective of the program:
This handbook contains facilities, useful contact information, procedures for applying various schemes and guides to obtain various general purpose certifications from various statutory bodies, emergency services information for Public services and programs. Guide for their responsibilities and rights as a citizen. It is meant for Community Education. It is one of the tools to impart the Meaningful citizenship and democratic practice. These cannot thrive without free access to knowledge of the public services and facilities available to them.
The cost per 1,000 copies:
The cost is Rs.1,00,000/- which includes the expenses involved in Collection of information, updating of the information available, Subject experts’ fees for making into book form, Composing, layout and printing, mailing charges.
The endowment required:
The Corpus Fund of Rs. 10,00,000/- is required for distribution of 1,000 copies per annum

For high school Students, the possibility of a better life begins with high school education. Yet each year more students are struggling to make ends meet and stay in school. Although Nelli Foundation has managed to secure some donations to keep enrolment girls in Schools, affordability has become a growing barrier to student success. We are not about momentary assistance, or exchanging compassion, sweets, clothes; however Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholarship Program is well intentioned. Socioeconomic background is the most important determinant of student achievement, more important even than what happens at school. Students from low socio-economic backgrounds are more likely to truant, have negative attitudes to school and leave school early.
Improving young people’s educational prospects is the best way to reverse the poverty growth, yet the cost of education and extra opportunities for children increasingly falls on families, creating a big problem for those already financially disadvantaged.
The Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholarship Program is an attempt to support and encourage deserving, talented students to achieve their limitless ambitions and serve the nation and world.
The children in the schools will receive an equal opportunity to have a positive, employment-filled future through education. They will have the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty in their family and community. They will get school uniforms and shoes. They will get school books and notebooks. Where most needed, they will receive medical aid health insurance.
The Board of Directors of the Nelli Foundation directly administers the program. Always one Director and the Headmaster of the School will directly involve in the process of selection, disbursement, and monitor and evaluate the program.
Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholarship supports the students for pursuing studies earning the SSC.
SSC (Secondary School Certificate) is an important document in one’s life. The marks obtained in this examination forms basis for entry into higher examination. Hence it is first important examination of student.
The Student shall meet the following criteria:
- Gender : Female
- Class: VIII to Class X
- School run by : 1. Government: A Government School is that which is run by the State Government or Central Government or Public Sector Undertaking or an Autonomous Organization completely financed by the Government. 2. Local body : A Local Body School is that which is run by Panchayati Raj and local body institutions such as Zilla Parishad, Municipal Corporation, Municipal Committee, Notified Area Committee and Cantonment Board.
- The Rate of scholarship: Supports a Child’s Health (Medical Insurance) and Education as a Day scholar for a year is Rs.6,000 at the rate of Rs.500/-per month and as a Hosteler for a year is Rs.2,400 at the rate of Rs.200/-per month.

- Number of Scholarships in a financial year for a school : Maximum 5 (five) Scholarships

A Renewal of a scholarship occurs automatically from one year to the next until SSC of enrolment provided an award recipient without fail meets the eligibity criteria.
Opportunity Scholarships are immense help for talented, disadvantaged children achieve their education and personal goals by supporting the cost of items such as tuition fee, Child’s Health (Medical Insurance), transport, computers, books, sports, crafts etc..
The Scholarships will be used to recruit academically superior students. For students award amount as a Day scholar is 6,000 per annum and award duration is for a maximum of five years or until Certification (whichever occurs first). Thus, total value of the award can reach Rs.30,000 per student during her high school studies. All initial awards are based upon funding availability.
The High schools will offer education sixth Class through Tenth Class. Some children, however, due to extenuating circumstances, may not stay in school through Tenth Class. Nelli Foundation will stay committed to the child until the child no longer needs the support. If the child leaves our program for whatever reason, we will quickly match Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholarship with a new child in need of the support.
No. The Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholarship will be the only scholarship for the child.
The role of a Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholarship sponsor is to provide consistent financial support for the Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholarship Program. Secondary roles include sending cards and letters to Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholar, sponsoring class parties, and in limited cases, visiting the Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholar’s School.
As a Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholarship sponsor, you can look forward to receiving drawings and messages from the Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholar. By corresponding through letters with the Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholar, you’ll also offer encouragement and love.
- You’ll see yourself how your contribution is helping through biannual updates in hard copy reports on the Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholar sent via by Registered Post/Speed Post.
- A new photo of the Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholar will be sent annually or as we are able to get them taken.
- The news about the Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholar will be displayed online.
Nelli Foundation’s non-program expenditure and administrative costs are to be limited to less than 15% of all the expenditure on the program.
The Nelli Foundation is committed to more than 85% of all the expenditure shall go into programs. The monies that go into Kalpavalli/Akshaya Scholarship Program help to provide high quality education with a worldview based on human dignity and self-worth. The education expenses include curriculum, Text Books, note books, reference books, summer and winter uniforms, tuition and health insurance. The costs of keeping records, translating and forwarding letters, providing case workers, and meeting emergencies are also covered.
